Tech Lead — Data Science & AI

Are you a Tech Lead passionate about creating an environment for high-performing teams that take end-to-end ownership and focus on results? You will work with other Tech Leads and peers from business and architecture to create analytics and AI products that are valuable for customers. You are experienced in agile ways of working, understand risk & compliance needs in a bank, keep up with technology trends, and take ownership to make a positive impact. You are experienced in hiring tech talent and gain energy from empowering people and teams.

• Recruit, mentor and retain top talent. Encourage cross-functional skill development and collaboration.
• Encourage teams to take ownership from ideation to deployment and promote pride in delivering high-quality solutions.
• Address security and regulatory risks and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to standards and frameworks.

• Focus on 5 to 7 end-to-end teams
• Responsible for 30–50 (in)direct reports

Requirements — You and your talent

• Languages: English and Dutch mandatory
• You are a friendly and approachable person
• You have an academic working and thinking level
• 5+ years of experience in similar roles within complex IT environments
• Demonstrable affinity for complex end-to-end analytics product delivery
• Strong leadership capabilities to foster a collaborative and result-driven culture
• Solid understanding of software lifecycle management and quality assurance
• Experience in hiring, mentoring and empowering tech talent
• You embrace Agile, Scrum, DevOps and software craftsmanship principles
• You communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
• Known for maintaining control over budget, risk, compliance and HR
• High-level and hands-on experience with GenAI capabilities

Additional preferences

• Experience in an MLOps environment is a big plus
• Experience in a regulated / banking environment is a big plus
