Role

Title: Senior DevOps Engineer / Senior IAM Engineer (One Identity)

You are a senior DevOps engineer with strong expertise in One Identity and Identity Governance & Administration. You analyse, remediate, improve and automate IAM services in complex, regulated environments, combining engineering depth with a strong understanding of control effectiveness, evidencing and sustainable service improvement.

What you will do

  • Remediate existing One Identity services and configurations to improve control effectiveness, service stability, and audit readiness.
  • Automate manual service and control-related activities to improve efficiency, consistency, and traceability.
  • Translate control findings, operational issues, and technical risks into sustainable engineering improvements.
  • Improve evidencing, monitoring, and technical substantiation for IAM services in scope of control execution.
  • Contribute to scalable and reusable engineering patterns within the One Identity landscape.

Top responsibilities

  • Design and implement structural improvements in One Identity services to remediate deficiencies and improve IAM control effectiveness.
  • Drive automation of service and control-related activities to reduce manual effort and increase consistency, traceability, and control maturity.
  • Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and fellow engineers to translate findings into backlog-ready technical solutions.

Continuous improvement

You critically assess current processes, technical patterns and manual workarounds, and actively contribute to making IAM services more robust, scalable and controllable. You take ownership for quality and embed sustainable engineering patterns, improved evidencing and monitoring, and reduced recurring manual effort.

Requirements & qualifications

  • Languages: English and Dutch mandatory.
  • Academic working and thinking level (Bachelor or Master preferred).
  • Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or IAM Engineer in a complex IT environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with One Identity Manager and IGA patterns.
  • Proficient in SQL; able to analyse, validate and improve data quality, queries and control-relevant datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with supporting technologies such as SQL Server, APIs/web services, scripting and automation tooling, job services, data mapping, and system integrations within a complex IAM/IGA environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM concepts: provisioning, deprovisioning, recertification, reconciliation, Segregation of Duties, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, and API orchestration.
  • Demonstrated experience in remediation and improvement of existing IAM services (not only greenfield development).
  • Experience automating manual service activities, control-related activities, or evidencing and monitoring processes.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to identify root causes of recurring technical or control deficiencies and translate findings into sustainable design and implementation improvements.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with high expectations on traceability, evidencing and operational control.
  • Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Risk & Compliance, architects and engineers across teams.
  • Strong judgement, decision making, complex problem-solving and collaboration skills.
