Position

Role: Officer Alternative Investments Administration

Note: This role is not suitable for freelancers (ZZP).

Working time: 36–40 hours per week

Onsite requirement: During onboarding you will work fully on-site. After onboarding you are expected to be present at the Heerlen office two days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Recurring recording of financial transactions in systems (cash flows, valuations, commitments)
  • Perform quality checks on financial data elements provided by internal and external parties
  • Recurring preparation of financial reports and information (financial statements, cost overviews, investment overviews, movement schedules, cash flow forecasts)
  • Actively liaise with internal and external vendors and stakeholders to obtain timely, high-quality financial data
  • Coordinate certain reports and deliverables, taking responsibility for timely and accurate delivery where multiple colleagues contribute (including coaching, review, planning and monitoring progress)
  • Coach more junior colleagues and perform quality review of their work
  • Act as team representative on operations-related overarching projects and deliverables
  • This is a financial accounting/reporting and operational process management role — not a portfolio management or business analyst role

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or university degree, preferably in financial economics, business economics or business administration
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a financial process role (accounting/reporting, operations) with a demonstrable track record of increased responsibility
  • Experience coaching colleagues
  • Experience with priority setting and strong workload planning skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • Self-starter with independent and creative problem-solving skills; able to devise alternative scenarios/solutions
  • Strong accounting and reporting skillset
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Dutch is an advantage
  • Curious mindset, attention to detail, ambition, high energy and commitment; able to remain calm and focused on end goals

Good to have (not mandatory)

  • Experience in asset management, ideally with non-listed investments
  • Experience working at APG in an asset management or operations role

Additional information

  • Travel required: Approximately 25%–50%
  • There is an option for extension

Eisen

  • During the onboarding period, the candidate is expected to work fully
    on-site
  • After this period, the candidate is expected to be present at the Heerlen
    office two days per week
  • This position is open for 36 to 40 hours per week
  • You have a bachelor’s or university degree preferably in financial
    economics, business economics or business administration
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a financial process role
    (accounting/reporting, operations) with a demonstrable track record in
    having assumed more and increasing responsibility (volume and complexity)
  • You have experience with coaching colleagues
  • You have experience with priority setting in your workload and strong
    workload planning skills
  • You have a solid base in project management skills
  • You are a self starter, independent and creative thinker with the ability
    to independently figure out different scenarios/solutions when a hurdle
    arises
  • You have a solid skillset in accounting and reporting
  • You have an excellent command of English (both spoken and written)

Gunningscriteria
