Position

Medior/Senior Android Developer

Role

Your main focus is developing communication features and maintaining a stable, secure and high-performing Android app. You will collaborate with other Android and iOS developers, back-end engineers, UX, Change Analyst, Product Manager and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Feature development: implement communication-related features and build user-facing screens with attention to UX.
  • Quality: write corresponding unit and UI tests and maintain foundations for reliable software.
  • Incident response: diagnose and resolve production incidents in the app.
  • Refinement: be (pro-)actively involved in story refinement.
  • Collaboration: align your work with other teams and stakeholders and share knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Experience: at least 3 years developing Android apps.
  • Technical familiarity: familiar with the tech stack listed below.
  • Mindset: intrinsically motivated, passionate about high-quality software, pragmatic and simplicity-oriented.
  • Proactivity: able to work closely with the business to translate needs into technical solutions and to take appropriate initiative.
  • Decision making: understands which decisions to take independently and when to consult peers or architects.
  • Communication: strong communicator; able to work with colleagues to achieve goals.
  • Language: proficient in English (spoken and written).

Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Gradle, Android Jetpack libraries and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience with Kotlinx Coroutines and Flow.
  • Experience with Agentic coding.
  • Dutch speaking.
  • Experience working in a product-led organisation.

Tech stack & tools

  • Architecture: MVVM
  • Languages & frameworks: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries
  • Build & CI/CD: Gradle, TeamCity
  • Concurrency: Kotlinx Coroutines, Flow
  • Testing: Compose UI tests, Paparazzi, Espresso; unit and UI tests
  • API: contract-based API generation for Android (and iOS)

Eisen

  • Feelance is not possible
  • You have at least 3 years of experience developing Android apps
  • You can express yourself in English both spoken as in writing
  • Candidate should be submitted exclusively to Magnit – Triodos, MAX of TWO
    candidates per Supplier
  • The submitted documents i.e. resume and motivation letter must be submitted
    in English or Dutch
  • Furthermore, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire
    duration of the assignment
  • All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID
    card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the
    assignment

Gunningscriteria

  • Pre’s: Experience with Gradle, Android Jetpack libraries and Jetpack
    Compose
