Business Architect Data & Analytics

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data products and AI? As a Business Architect Data & Analytics you will help design and implement enterprise data and AI capabilities, turning complexity into clear, scalable solutions that deliver business value.

Key responsibilities

• Define target architectures for your domain in alignment with domain and enterprise architects.
• Guide teams in adopting enterprise standards and modern technologies; define and apply standardized architecture patterns.
• Lead and contribute to area leadership, providing architecture vision and roadmaps to support product delivery.
• Ensure data and AI products are scalable, compliant, and deliver measurable business value.
• Coach and guide solution architects; align area vision and realize architecture strategies and roadmaps.

Specializations (choose based on expertise)

• AI-ready data and data product automation: Automation of data product creation, transforming unstructured data to AI-ready formats, and moving from dataset provisioning to API-based and streaming patterns.
• Data as a product: Apply product thinking to data products; simplify and standardize access, sharing and management to ensure data is trusted, discoverable and easy to use.
• Advanced analytics products: Design reusable analytics solutions (machine learning, generative AI), including technologies like knowledge graphs for entity resolution and grounding AI agents, and govern AI responsibly at scale.

Practical examples of work

• Create and communicate an architecture vision for data products and AI-ready data, aligning with business stakeholders and architects.
• Collaborate across business architecture to shape a future-proof data and AI platform.
• Mentor and coach a team of solution architects within your area.

Candidate profile & requirements

• Experience: Minimum 7 years in relevant roles, including at least 3 years in enterprise/business architecture within a complex data & analytics environment.
• Expertise: Strong architecture vision and experience in at least one of the specialization areas.
• Think in strategy, capabilities and value streams—prioritizing the business “what and why” before the technical “how.”
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and link technology drivers to business goals.
• Skilled in influencing and persuading diverse stakeholders with an open mindset; able to adapt communication for C‑level executives, product teams and architects.
• Helicopter view: oversee a wide domain and understand implications of architecture decisions on business and IT.
• Comfortable in a leading role; able to provide direction, coaching and guidance to solution architects.
• Experience in a complex global and multi–business line environment is a plus.
• Languages: English and Dutch mandatory.
