Functieomschrijving

Role

You will build and deploy agentic AI systems and AI-powered applications with end-to-end ownership—from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring. You will help turn proofs-of-concept into production-grade solutions and quantitatively assess agent performance.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement scalable GenAI solutions using cloud services (examples: Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AKS, Azure Functions, API Gateway) with a focus on portability, resilience and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, Kong).
  • Build Python-based microservices and automation tools to support GenAI workflows, infrastructure provisioning and agent orchestration.
  • Integrate and manage agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen) to support multi-step workflows and decision making.
  • Ensure security, compliance and performance optimization across GenAI workloads.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, including prompt engineering, chaining and memory management.

Technical leadership & impact

  • Convert use-case specific codebases into reusable building blocks consumed by many teams.
  • Pair-program and work across squads to solve complex problems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on GenAI strategy, infrastructure scalability and operational excellence.

Required qualifications

  • At least one shipped AI-powered product (ideally agentic or multi-step AI system) used by real users in production.
  • 8+ years of strong hands-on development experience; fluent in Python and strong Cloud & DevOps practices.
  • Practical experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or comparable).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring juniors or leading technical teams.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM or Kanban).

Practical information

  • Working language: English (Dutch not required).
  • Location requirement: Candidates must reside in the Netherlands.
  • On-site presence: Fixed office day on Thursday.
  • Employment type: No freelance contractors (geen ZZP).
