Data Scientist / Software Engineer (1 FTE)
As a Data Scientist / Software Engineer you will detect criminal behavior and improve complex business processes through graph analytics. You will work with large-scale transaction data from over 8 million customers and apply advanced graph patterns to uncover meaningful insights. The role is 60% Data Scientist tasks and 40% Software Engineer tasks.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor or Master in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, IT or related field
- Experience: At least 5 years as a Data Scientist with a strong focus on software engineering
- Technical skills: Strong object-oriented programming, data analysis and software engineering skills; Python expertise is a must
- Tools: Skilled in Git, Databricks and PySpark
- Cloud & MLOps: Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure); model deployment, performance tuning and monitoring (MLOps/DevOps) is a plus
- Analytics: Solid understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning; experience in graph analytics is a plus
- Practices: Passion for building clean, maintainable, testable solutions and creating reusable, standardised components
- Languages & collaboration: Fluent English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus; curious, proactive and experienced in teamwork

- Location & presence: Candidates must reside in the Netherlands. Fixed office days: Monday and Thursday. Hybrid working per policy.

- Recruitment process: Three interview rounds; the second round is a technical interview (no preparation required)

Eisen
- Candidates must be residing in the Netherlands
- You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics,
IT or a related field - You have at least 5 or more years of experience working as a Data Scientist
with a strong focus on software engineering - Python expertise is a must
- You are skilled in Git, Databricks and PySpark
- You communicate well in the English language (both spoken and written)
- All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID
card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the
assignment - If the candidate is selected to start, a pre-employment screening will be
executed - The candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the
assignment
Gunningscriteria
- Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus
- Experience in model deployment, performance tuning, and monitoring
leveraging MLOps/DevOps is a plus - Experience in graph analytics is a plus
