Business Analyst
Role overview
As a Business Analyst you will connect business processes, data and innovation to explore how data and predictive analytics can support better decision-making, uncover commercial opportunities and contribute to new business models. You will work across strategic innovation initiatives focused on data analytics and predictive solutions, investigating opportunities based on data, client behaviour and market developments.
Examples from practice
- Explore how financing needs within Trade & Commodity Finance can be predicted more accurately during periods of market volatility.
- Develop data-driven insights that enable relationship managers and credit specialists to identify commercial opportunities and risks earlier across clients and sectors.
- Bring together expertise from business, data, risk and product development to create innovative, data-driven solutions that drive client value and commercial growth.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse existing business processes to identify pain points, improvement opportunities and innovation initiatives that contribute to new business models.
- Design and support experiments by defining hypotheses, data requirements and success criteria, and assessing feasibility of new concepts and predictive solutions.
- Connect stakeholders across business, data, architecture, risk and product development, translating complex insights into clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
- Investigate suitable predictive solutions, analyse available data, develop initial concepts and prototypes, and contribute to innovative propositions.
Facts & figures
- You will work on 2 strategic innovation initiatives focused on predictive analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- You will be part of a small innovation team, working closely with a Business Lead and another Business Analyst.
Your profile
- Experience in stakeholder management within a complex environment.
- Proven experience in business analysis and process improvement.
- Experience in data analytics and translating insights into business opportunities.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance or a comparable business environment is a plus.
