This individual is responsible for the end-to-end creation, editing, and customization of high-quality, persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and consultant database updates. The role demands a deep understanding of GSAM’s investment capabilities, strategies, and competitive advantages, and the ability to articulate these effectively to institutional clients, prospects, and consultants. The successful candidate will act as a central point of contact, collaborating extensively with various internal teams to ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, consistent, compliant, and tailored to meet specific client and consultant requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ideally, 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong preference for experience in asset management, investment consulting, institutional sales support, or a similar client-facing content writing role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to sophisticated audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RFP automation software (e.g., Qvidian, Loopio, PMAPS).
  • Solid understanding of various investment products, asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, alternatives), financial markets, and investment strategies.
  • Familiarity with institutional client segments (e.g., public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds) and their specific investment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development & Customization:
Lead the drafting, editing, and customization of comprehensive and compelling RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs for institutional clients, prospects, and consultants across a diverse range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and multi-asset solutions.
  • Ensure all responses are strategically aligned with client needs, highlight GSAM’s unique value proposition, and adhere to brand guidelines and messaging standards.
  • Content Management & Maintenance:
Manage and regularly update a centralized content library of standard responses, firm data, product-specific information, and investment narratives.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all content with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify gaps in content and work with subject matter experts to develop new materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as a key liaison, working closely with Portfolio Managers, Product Strategists, Sales & Client Relationship Managers, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing teams to gather necessary information, validate data, and ensure alignment of messaging across all client communications.
  • Facilitate review processes with relevant stakeholders to obtain approvals and ensure accuracy.
  • Project Management:
Effectively manage multiple RFP projects concurrently, often under tight deadlines, from initial request receipt through final submission.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, coordinate input from various internal stakeholders, and track progress to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Strategic Communication & Messaging:
Translate complex investment concepts, market insights, and quantitative data into clear, concise, and persuasive language that resonates with diverse institutional audiences.
  • Develop compelling narratives that differentiate GSAM’s offerings in a competitive landscape.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Conduct rigorous reviews of all materials to ensure accuracy, grammatical correctness, stylistic consistency, adherence to brand guidelines, and full compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA).
