Position overview

As a Strategic Project Planner you will monitor, review and integrate project schedules across the portfolio and provide strategic planning, scheduling and project-control insights to support the successful delivery of the 2GW Program within the Hitachi & L&T portfolio. You will translate scheduling data into strategic recommendations, scenario analyses and management reports to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess contractor programmes against contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress and perform schedule deviation analyses.
• Support development and implementation of mitigation and recovery measures with project teams.
• Evaluate schedule deviations reported by contractors and assess impacts on projects and the overall portfolio.
• Forecast potential schedule shifts and evaluate impacts on key delivery milestones.
• Support preparation and substantiation of claim defense dossiers.
• Provide periodic planning reports, KPI dashboards and schedule scenario analyses.
• Act as primary point of contact for planning-related questions between contractors and project teams.
• Support implementation, visualization and reporting of planning datasets using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Contribute to the growth and implementation of the Scheduling Maturity Model (SMM) and continuous improvement of planning, scheduling and project control methodologies.
• Deliver strategic schedule analyses and management reports to support informed decision-making.
• Support risk managers by integrating planning data into project risk assessments and registers.

Experience & qualifications

• Education: Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Project Management or a comparable discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in project scheduling and planning, preferably within large and complex infrastructure projects.
• Tools: Proven experience with Oracle Primavera P6 (minimum 3 years). Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI preferred.
• Contract & claims: Proven experience with contract strategies and claim situations in project environments.
• Domain knowledge: Experience within large-scale energy, infrastructure or engineering projects preferred; knowledge of HVDC projects is a strong advantage.
• Other: Willingness to travel when required; living in the Netherlands.

Eisen

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Project
  Management or a comparable discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project scheduling and
  planning, preferably within large and complex infrastructure projects
• Proven experience with contract strategies and claim situations in project
  environments
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Oracle Primavera P6 (minimum
  3 years)
• Living in the Netherlands
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

• Pre-Employment Screening (PES) is mandatory before commencement and may
  take up to six weeks
• The candidate may only start after successful completion of the screening
  process
• The candidate must possess a valid passport or identity card valid
  throughout the recruitment and assignment period

Gunningscriteria

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project scheduling and
  planning, preferably within large and complex infrastructure projects
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI is highly preferred
• Knowledge of HVDC projects is considered a strong advantage
• Experience within large-scale energy, infrastructure or engineering
  projects is preferred
• Dutch language skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory
• Experience with contractor schedule reviews and project controls in complex
  project environments is highly valued
• Experience in developing schedule-driven management reporting and decision
  support products is preferred
• Candidates with experience in large-scale energy transition projects will
  have a distinct advantage
